The tone from my videos
Every bass video I post runs through this. Plug into your interface, load it, play.
Demo takes land here once they're recorded.
“What are you using for tone?”
I get asked that under almost every video. The honest answer was two pedals, an interface and a pile of studio plugins, set up just so.
So I put the whole chain in one plugin. It opens on my sound. No presets to dig through.
Full, round, clean low end with old-school grit on top.
Eleven knobs. That's it.
Everything else is set the way I set it.
Input
Set it once so your bass hits the plugin like mine does. The meter tells you when you're there.
- Input Gain
Preamp
Squeeze and warmth from the front of the chain. Your volume stays put while you turn them.
- Compression
- Saturation
Clean Low End
The signal splits in two here. Blend sets how much clean, round low end sits under the grit. 0 dB is my mix.
- Blend
Grit
The crushed top end. Darkness takes the edge off it.
- Crunch
- Darkness
EQ
Four bands at the very end. Centre is flat.
- Low
- Low-Mid
- Upper-Mid
- Treble

Questions
Is this really what you use?
Yes. Every recording, every video.
Do I need any pedals?
No. Plug into whatever interface you have. Everything I play through is already inside.
Can I play through it live without latency?
Yes. It adds well under a millisecond, so you can play and record through it.
Can I try it before I buy it?
Yes. The download is the full plugin, free for 14 days. No account, no email, no card.
How many computers can I install it on?
3 at a time. Switching computers? Free one up from your account.
Does it need to be online?
Once, to start the trial or activate your key. After that it works offline, and losing your connection won't cut your sound.
What if it doesn't sound right on my bass?
Set Input Gain until the meter says Good. That usually fixes it. If it still isn't for you, ask for a refund and you'll get one.
